The Women of Shakespeare

About the Play:

Adaptor, Steve Cleberg, has put together an entertaining evening featuring some of Shakespeare’s most interesting women in some of his greatest plays. The audience meets such strong and delightful women as Beatrice from Much Ado About Nothing, Katharina from Taming of the Shrew and Titania from A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Also featured are the tragic travails of such characters as Ophelia from Hamlet and Cordelia from King Lear. For theatre companies, the play provides thrilling challenges for seasoned Shakespearean actors as well as wonderful performance opportunities for emerging performers.
