The Lion’s Share of Ourselves
Description
This illustrated assemblage of poetry explores commonplace goings-on such as discarded goods and people, the difficulties inherent in whistle blowing, and alternative therapies for affective disorders. Its mission is to employ poetry not just to reference unicorns and rainbows but to concurrently deconstruct human experiences.
Self-reflection sometimes culls unwanted discoveries. Nonetheless, it’s imperative, now and then, to investigate the assemblages of parts that constitute us. Without examination, these bits and bobs are liable to “rust,” or worse. So, self- inventory’s key.
It’s only when the legislation, assessment, and execution of our acts are divided among us, can our accountability be considered “balanced.” Neither linguistic robdozers nor cabulances will ever suffice to illuminate the sundry gradations of our behaviors. Rather, we must look within.
