About the Author

Roy Reichelt Jr.

Roy Reichelt, Jr. was born in Brooklyn, New York and lived in New Rochelle during his younger years until his graduation in 1952. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1953 to 1957 and then reenlisted in 1958. He was stationed in Iceland, Germany and Guam as well as numerous stateside bases until he was honorably discharged after 21 years of service, achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant.

Upon retirement from the Air Force, he worked for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington, D.C., for the next fifteen years until retiring in March 1989 as a GS15. Afterward he moved to Englewood/Venice, FL area and obtained his Real Estate license and worked for Coldwell Banker.

After several years, he left Real Estate and taught Adult Education in Englewood, Fl. and became active in a local chapter of The National Association for Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) and was elected President of The Florida Federation of NARFE in 1998 which had twenty-seven thousand members at that time. After his term ended with the NARFE, Mr. Reichelt went into complete retirement and began writing, something he has always wanted to do. He spends his free time playing golf, traveling, visiting Gambling Casino's, and reading; his favorite author is Agatha Christie.
