Amber Frangos is dedicated to all things Play. With her ten year tenure as a Resident Playwright, she has been able to cultivate an impressive skill set. Learning the mechanics of how a theater operates such as directing, lighting, sound, costumes and limitations of stage space. With the knowledge she has acquired, she writes plays that are producible. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with Drama in the classroom from California State University. Amber believes that theater is everywhere and it is a crucial factor in what makes us human. Her works that were produced are Rosies: The Women Who Riveted the Nation, and Mary: Her Story (Musical).
Amber is passionate about plays that illustrate the timelessness of the human condition. Such as the aforementioned plays, Rose, a woman from World War II, is a single mother struggling with raising children, struggling with making ends meet, and meeting her work requirements. And then Mary, a young girl is presented with a monumental task. She was a human being asked to do an extraordinary thing.
Amber appreciates the collaborative effort of theater and what her plays will offer This collaborative effort utilizing many disciplines unite in one focus to bring the play to life. She believes that is the way life should be.
